Fred Stone captures the great Seabiscuit pulling away from War Admiral in the famous Pimlico match race. Aboard Seabiscuit is "Iceman" George Woolf, one of the early giants among Santa Anita's legendary riding colony. A larger close-up of horse and rider looms in the upper portion of the lithograph.
Mr. Stone, working from archived photos and interviews, created this piece after being inspired by the best selling book, "Seabuscuit, an American Legend." His creation builds upon the greatness achieved by this remarkable warrior of racing.
This lithograph is limited to an edition of 1500. Each print is handsigned by artist Fred Stone and numbered. The print measures 25" square.
